त्रिपिंडी श्राद्ध
Tripindi Shraddha
For ancestors who have gone three generations without shraddha.

When shraddha has not been offered to the ancestors for three generations, the departed are said to remain in a hungry, unsettled state — and their descendants carry the consequence as Pitru Dosh.
Tripindi Shraddha offers three pindas to Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh, satisfying the ancestral line in one complete rite. It is performed at Trimbakeshwar on Amavasya, Sankranti or during Pitru Paksha for the greatest effect.
